Cathodic Protection & Earthing Stake Installation

​Project: RAAF Tindal Fuel Farm – Stage 6 
 

At Nortech Drilling & Civil, we deliver precise and compliant cathodic protection installations as part of critical infrastructure upgrades. On this project, our scope involved:

• Borehole Drilling:
  Drilled four boreholes, each 250 mm in diameter and 5.6 m deep, spaced 8 m apart at predefined coordinates (Easting 217052, Northing 8394919), aligned with drawing DWG EST00347-35-0990-300-DR-FU-5001.

• Anode Installation:
  Installed canistered anodes in each borehole with a slurry backfill of sieved soil to ensure full contact and stability. Each installation included a slotted vent pipe and gravel to surface level.

• Cable Routing:
  Anode cables were trenched to a junction box for consolidation, completing the link to the anode feeder cable.

All works adhered strictly to AS 2832.1 Section 7 and client-supplied specifications.
